WHO'S GOT THE VHS COLLECTION?

In 2000, this legendary company called ON Video invented a new genre for skateboarding films called the "trickumentary." The stories were epic, documenting the life of Natas Kaupas (above), Rodney Mullen, the death of Love Park, who's-done-what-trick on the infamous Carlsbad gap, and the impact of Blind's "Video Days" (just to name a few of the best stories).

What always got me was the dope music selections. I remember pausing the VHS player, trying to look up the song names in the credits, and most of the time, it'd just say "Untitled" or some shit. Now I know it was all just Madlib and Odd Nosdam instrumentals looping in the background. Unfortunately, ON video only lasted long enough to issue 8 amazing episodes, but its effects on skateboarding will be felt indefinitely.

Skaters and beatheads: Don't get caught sleeping on this ish!
